My Approach
If you are feeling hopeless and lost about what to eat, when, how much, and/or generally feeling overwhelmed and about diet and nutrition, you have come to the right place. My passion and approach to nutrition therapy are, ultimately, to simplify nutrition. My goal is to help you learn how to tune into your body’s innate wisdom and navigate food and body image confidently. Whether you are in eating disorder recovery, have recently (or not so recently) received a nutrition-related diagnosis you are wondering about, or you are just looking for some nutrition, food and body image guidance, I am here to help you on your journey.

I do not focus on weight as the parameter for improving health as this approach has not shown to be effective long-term. Instead, I focus on behavior and healing your relationship with food to encourage sustainable changes that improve your health and wellbeing in alignment with your goals.

Every person, regardless of their body size, has value and deserves to be treated with respect and care. It is not possible to know the details of an individual's health status purely by looking at their body size. Especially acknowledging that individuals in larger bodies are discriminated against in our culture and constantly existing among weight stigma. What to Expect - Virtual Nutrition Therapy
Schedule a free discovery phone call where we, together, will assess if we are a good fit. → If we are a good fit, we will schedule an initial assessment to start the journey.
During the discovery call: I will call you on the number you provide at the time and day you scheduled. We will chat about what led you to reach out and I will ask some questions to get to know more about you. You will have a chance to ask me some questions. At the end of the call, we will decide if we are a good fit, if so, we can schedule an initial assessment together.
Note: Developing a therapeutic relationship with your provider is one of the most important aspects of healing. My hope is for you to find a provider you connect with. There is no pressure to schedule an initial assessment from our discovery call. It is not a sales call. It is a way to get a sense of my style and to find out what kind of care would be most supportive for you.
How to best prepare for a discovery call: There is nothing special you need to do. If you have the time and desire, feel free to jot down a few notes about what led you to reach out and any questions you would like to ask me.
“and I said to my body softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath, and replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this.”
